ArcGIS mapping of cultural heritage in Dublin city centre – e.g. “Selected locations of Nevill Johnson’s street photography, Dublin, 1952-53”

Johnson was a noted painter, active in the modernist artistic and literary circle of the 1950s now known as ‘Baggotonia’. In 1952-53 he experimented with street photography, creating a visual record of Dublin street life at a time of austerity in Irish history. This map shows the locations of laneways where he photographed tenements and street markets. This map is part of an ongoing larger project. Copy of the map and raw data available on request.
